After two years of success in promoting the blues both in our area and internationally at the IBC, its time to think about what's next. We want your ideas and participation.

The format is simple:

5:30 pm Music
6:30 pm Open forum on club future
Wrap up More music (including a member jam*)

Members and their guests are free. Non-members please donate $5.00 toward the bands.

(*standard jam protocol. Amps and sound reinforcement gear provided. Just bring your guitar, harp, smallest pedal board, voice and/or chops. Exceptions made for small harp amps and mics. Check for the sign-up sheet near the stage.)

Blues Music Series and Membership Events

SFBS sponsors one event every 6 to 8 weeks in Western NC, portions of SC and TN -- wherever a volunteer hosting venue and our schedule can match up.

Each event features 3 to 5 outstanding blues acts (acoustic and metal) who love the blues enough to play for a little gas money, a pat on the back, and our sincere gratitude for helping SFBS get underway.

Interested musicians who are not members of SFBS must apply for the Music Series through Sonicbids. If you've aleady applied through Sonicbids, but have not heard from us -- it means your EPK is "ON HOLD" because we are growing so fast, we haven't had a chance to start planning events for 2009.

Thanks to all who are inquiring about hosting and performing at these events. With your help and support -- SFBS will quickly become the active and helpful blues society everyone has been waiting for.
